Tsuis splash out for Born To Sea colt at Goffs
WE ARE only halfway through day two of the foal sale at Goffs but the six-figure barrier has already been breached with John Clarke, acting for Sunderland Holdings, splashing out €120,000 for a colt hailing from the first crop of Born To Sea.

A Blenheim Stakes winner on his debut and second in the Irish Derby as a three-year-old, Born To Sea is a fascinating addition to the stallion ranks and there was a huge level of interest in this colt consigned by River Lane Lodge Stud before the hammer came down in favour of Clarke, whose purchase was a near unheard-of six figure lot for day two of this sale.
"He will eventually go into training with John Oxx. The Tsui family are always very keen to support their stallions and we love Born To Sea's first foals. The Tsui's have sent mares to him each year he has been at stud and they will support him all the way through," commented Clarke.
